This 1971 is well known among Phoenix Oldsmobile enthusiasts - and here is its story.
The original owner bought the car new in 1971, in Tulsa, OK.
As he was graduating from college. He could not afford a 442, so he bought a Cutlass Supreme with a 350 engine, but with as many 442 options as he could afford.
It has the factory tachometer and gauges, AM/FM stereo radio, Air Conditioning, Leather Bucket Seats and Console, and A Dual Gate Shifter Turbo 400 Transmission.
He drove it for 9 years, sold it, bought it back, then after a few years he decided to fully restore it.
At this point he changed out the 350 for a Rebuilt 455.

I purchased the car in 2011 and have enjoyed it greatly over the last four years.
I have all the paperwork for the restoration, as well as the, very high quality repaint that was done in the original color
and had it thoroughly rebuilt and bored out (0.030")with a 455 that really scoots!
It's a bucket seat auto on the console. It has a Hurst transmission,
with a Holley Street Avenger 770 carburetor, and the correct SS1 wheels done in (2013) and near new tires, (P225/60/14 T/A radials)done in (March 2014).
Pretty Much everything on this Custom Hot Rod is Fresh and Restored. It hasThe 5-digit odometer reads 77,000 miles. The Air Conditioner Works Great!
